In planning the release of her debut solo CD, Dancing In Limbo, Jill chose to create a celebration that would combine her passions for music and art while bringing awareness and support to one of her favorite charities, Women for Women International.

Blessed with a wealth of friends who also happen to be talented artists, Jill asked thirteen of these women if they would each donate a piece of original artwork inspired by one of the songs on her CD. Their response was overwhelmingly enthusiastic and the result was “Infinite Possibility – A Night of Music, Art & Women Helping Women” held Saturday, March 27, 2010. This spectacular event raised more than $10,000 and much awareness for Women for Women International.

A beautiful four-color 8” x 8” book featuring all of the artwork, lyrics, special photos and more is available for $25. Contact Jill to order yours today.

Dancing in Limbo

Ruby red lips on a sea of clouds
Orbiting kisses drift to the ground
I pick them up and I give them to you
Then it’s back to the sky for a fly-by or two

We two in tempo waltz through the world
Swirling in rhythm and rhyme
Dancing in limbo we become one
The sound of our heartbeat keeps time

Safe in the harbor in a bed made of waves
Which dreams shall we choose tonight
Gently we roll as the anchor lets go
And we drift off to sail in the moonlight

One-two-three, I can see everything under the stars
If you see nothing then nowhere is just where you are
Follow me, I will lead, just this once have faith in me
Lay down beside me and close your eyes then you will see

Don’t ever wake me, I want to remain
Dancing in limbo, waltzing in the rain
Covered in flowers, I’m waiting for you
As they fall to the floor, they paint the night blue

We two in tempo waltz through the world
Swirling in rhythm and rhyme
Dancing in limbo we become one
The sound of our heartbeat keeps time

Parallel Lives

Unless they look deep – deep into our eyes
Behind the photo frame smiles – into our parallel lives
We are moving straight ahead – in step, in time, in space – and yet
We don’t cross – we don’t’ connect - our united front presented for affect

We live parallel lives – so deceptive – our perfection
We do just what we need to get by - undetected
Unless you look deep – deep into our eyes
Behind the photo frame smiles – into our parallel lives
We are moving straight ahead – in step, in time, in space – and yet
We don’t cross – we don’t’ connect - our united front presented for affect

So the days flow - and the years go - sailing past
Will we dare to make a turn and change our path – reunite at last
We’ve lived parallel lives for so long – it seems normal
We’ve learned to stop asking why and pretend we don’t notice
Until we look deep – deep into our eyes
Behind the photo frame smiles – into our parallel lives

Cigarette Girl

He was the man in the big band - trumpet in hand
She was a cigarette girl.
He bought her coffee after the last show
She couldn’t stay out late – she had to go
But that was a long time ago
Now the cigarette girl and the man in the band
Like some black and white movie play on in my head
And I’m a result of their happy ever after

A cigarette dangled from his lips - they danced to a Count Basie tune
She told him she’d love him forever - he told her he’d lasso the moon
Neither one seeing the years that laid out before them
But that was a long time ago
Now the cigarette girl and the man in the band
Like some black and white movie play on in my head
And I’m a result of their happy ever after

All the fears and triumphs
The laughter and tears
The trumpet was sold when the boy became ill
Times were hard – lives were spent
Good times came and they went

Fifty years passed in a moment
Spending their lives like a lottery prize
Who is that white-headed couple
Staring into each others’ eyes
Falling in love to the big band – out on the dance floor
But that was a long time ago
Now the cigarette girl and the man in the band
Like some black and white movie play on in my head
And I’m a result of their happy ever after

RSVP

Salt water worries swallow you whole
Like a fish in a bowl
You swim and swim inviting me to dive right in

Middle of nightmares wake you up in a sweat
It’s just like Russian roulette
You risk it all then count on me to break your fall
Well, I’m not on call

Don’t forget to remember me in your prayers or your apathy
Leave me one final memory – something greater than you or me
And the way we say goodbye

RSVP – Send your regrets or, possibly, say yes,
You’ll stay with me -n the ever-after happily

Blankets of insecurity wrap you uptight
A painter losing his sight
Your whole world dims as you begin your final strokes I don’t have the antidote
Don’t forget to remember me in your prayers or your apathy

Leave me one final memory – something greater than you or me
And the way we say goodbye
Don’t forget to remember me in your prayers or your apathy

Leave me one final memory – something greater than you or me
And the way we say goodbye
And the way we say goodbye
And the way we say goodbye

Forever And A Day

Come and sit with me, my darlin
What will be will be, my darlin’
Let your soul be free, my darlin’
And I will love you well
Bring me your dreams in a brown paper sack
I’ll make ‘em shine like a new Cadillac
And we’ll live happily, my darlin’
Forever and a day

Promise me your heart, my darlin’
This is just the start, my darlin’
We will never part, my darlin’
And I will love you well
Bring me your dreams in a rusty old can
I’ll make ‘em shine like a new diamond
And we’ll live happily, my darlin’
Forever and a day

Two bands of gold can always be sold
But two hearts together live on
Come and sit with me, my darlin’
What will be will be, my darlin’
Let your soul be free, my darlin’
And I will love you well

Where Did The Time Go

What have I left to lose
There's nothing left to choose until tomorrow
Why should I try to
Memories fall behind; there's nothing on my mind
You'd care to borrow; or maybe that's untrue
All my dreams collide until they subdivide

Someone tell me where did the time go
A waste away...
Somewhere in the garden there's a rainbow
Tell me where did the time go

Waiting in the distant rain
Like a diamond down the drain
Approximating a kitten in a lifeboat
Whisper the wind with style
As I'm counting down the miles; they're slowly fading
Waiting for the lightshow
I'll hopelessly surrender all my sins away

Someone tell me where did the time go
A waste away...
Somewhere in the garden there's a rainbow
Tell me where did the time go

Wouldn't you like to know the feelings I never show
Raining down upon the grass like paper
Wouldn't you like to guess the seeds of my lonliness
Clawing at the cage as you are able

Someone tell me where did the time go
A waste away...
Somewhere in the garden there's a rainbow
Tell me where did the time go

Infinite Possibility

Somebody somewhere once said If you sleepwalk through life
You’d be better off dead
But we do, don’t we dear, aren’t we led
Through this world eyes shut tight
Never looking ahead

To what could be – to the infinite possibility
Of what could be – do we dare fulfill our own prophecy
What if we opened our eyes
And discovered the mystery wrapped in disguise
Of our everyday, ordinary lives
Could we see through illusions our minds have contrived

Dreams lie in dust like a skin that we’ve shed
And like fools we rush in where even angels won’t tread
We abandon our hearts to follow our heads

To what could be – to the infinite possibility
Of what could be – do we dare fulfill our own prophecy
What if we opened our eyes
And discovered the mystery wrapped in disguise
Of our everyday, ordinary lives
Could we see through illusions our minds have contrived

Mary's Song

Smell the sweet scent that hangs in the air
It’s the finest that money can buy
Feel the warm softness of my hair
Take a look at who’s asking why

I feel no humiliation in my own adoration of you
I love you
He who questions my intentions,
Speaks of poor but fails to mention service
Is he nervous?

I am a witness to your miracles
You have opened up my mind
The evidence is empirical
And he who doubts is blind

I feel no humiliation in my own adoration of you
I love you
He who questions my intentions,
Speaks of poor but fails to mention service
Is he nervous?

I have seen the power in your hands
So to your feet I fall
I have seen your love of man
So to your work I’m called

I feel no humiliation in my own adoration of you
I love you, I love you, I love you

Long Morning Yesterday

Long morning yesterday
Won't likely be the same
Without you here... Or even near
Pressed between the pages like a souvenier

Love's empty butterfly
Sails into cloudy skies
Far from home and the honeycomb
Aimless and forgiving as an atom bomb

I'll carry on...'til i'm running out of reasons
I'll carry on...somehow make it through the seasons
I'll carry on...awake until the dawn

Cold silver promenade
Old dues that were never paid
Your tender face ...i can't erase
Every little line my fingers still can trace

I'll carry on...'til i'm running out of reasons
I'll carry on...somehow make it through the seasons
I'll carry on...awake until the dawn

Random memories so desperately
They seem to be a fog so thick
The light is just a dim reminder of the
Used to be a man without a soul
So in controlof every little band of gold
Now turns to coal

I'll carry on...'til i'm running out of reasons
I'll carry on...somehow make it through the seasons
I'll carry on...awake until the dawn

Gone to Glory

Today he said goodbye
And through his tears he asked “Why?”
Although he knows more riches than all the world’s gold awaits – awaits

Gone is her earthly pain
Now only angel’s refrain
Time to let go – it’s so hard though he knows
A better life awaits – a better life awaits

Gone, gone, gone to glory
The end of the story is it never ends
Gone, gone, gone to glory
Hallelujah, hallelujah – amen

Now her race is run – so much left undone
Left on his own – so all alone
He can’t believe that she’s gone

Gone, gone, gone to glory
The end of the story is it never ends
Gone, gone, gone to glory
Hallelujah, hallelujah – amen

The rose he kept has dried
Like all the tears that he cried
The sun fills the sky every morning he tries
To carry on his way – to carry on his way

Ten Cents a Dance

Take off your coat and stay awhile – it’s just ten cents a dance
If you’re sweet I’ll let you by me a drink & pretend it’s a real romance
If you’re lonely, you’ve come to the right place
You’re a good kid – I can tell by your face

Followed a boy from Omaha – thought it was my big chance
He’s long gone and I’m still here at ten cents a dance
Wrote to momma – but there’s no word from home
Never dreamed I could feel so alone

Out on the floor we’re sure to feel okay again
We can lose our blues in the music – find our way with the rhythm
What do you say? What do you say?

Got two more nights to make my rent at ten cents a dance
I’m just scraping by in this big apple pie at ten cents a dance
If I’m lucky, some swell will come in
Top hat and tails – discreet with his gin

Out on the floor we’re sure to feel okay again
We can lose our blues in the music – find our way with the rhythm
What do you say? What do you say?

Saving my pennies to make my escape
Got my heart set on Paris, France
It’s a long, long way away but I know that I can’t stay
Selling my soul a piece at a time – for nickels and dimes

Out on the floor we’re sure to feel okay again
We can lose our blues in the music – find our way with the rhythm
What do you say? What do you say?

I Am Not Alone

It’s a lonely road – another heavy load
Still with all I’ve been through I know
I am not alone – I am not alone

The rain must pour and the sun must shine
The two must softly intertwine
To become that magic, that sublime
To create a covenant, a sign

So the story’s told – the fabled tales of old
I’m in it for the rainbow not the pot of gold
And I am not alone – I am not alone

The rain must pour and the sun must shine
The two must softly intertwine
To become that magic, that sublime
To create a covenant, a sign

Some people say you shouldn’t hold on too tightly
To anyone or anything
Those rays of color, reflections of light
They disappear in the night
They disappear in the darkness of night

As I learn to let go – to take each moment on its own
As life begins to slowly unfold, the mystery takes hold
And I know that I am not alone

The rain must pour and the sun must shine
The two must softly intertwine
To become that magic, that sublime
To create a covenant, a sign
